'Amphi Nest' is India's first working prototype of amphibious building technology with a concrete buoyant foundation, build to set an example of a flood resilient construction technique where people can continue their usual living style without compromising much during flood. The structure is located at Kozha, Kuravilangadu, near SH1 & Kerala State Seed Farm in the Kottayam district of Kerala.
We hope to build amphibious houses for people living in the flood-prone areas of Kerala and other parts of India. We seek your support for the same.

How can you be a part of #AmphihomesforIndia?
If you know some one who is living in flood prone areas or whose family was affected by the adverse effects of 2018,2019 flood in Kerala, then you could share their details with us and then we can build a Amphi home for free through the crowd funded money. So kindly support us with generous contribution to make this initiative a success.
Also you can support us by providing suitable contribution to the crowd funding, where we aim to build 10 Amphi homes for 10 families in the flood prone areas and for people who are directly affected by floods in their day to day life.
We have invested 4 years and 1 million rupees in researching a safe way to implement amphibious houses in India pertaining to regional, environmental and climatic conditions. As a result, we have built a working prototype of amphibious technology in India. This proves that such buildings can be implemented with vernacular materials and are working safely in our climatic conditions.
We request you to support us in building 10 amphibious homes of 600 square feet each for the people who have lost their homes due to floods.
Amphibious technology will pave way for a safe future for them, safeguarding their living space without fighting against water.
Each of your valuable contributions will help us in building safe homes for flood-affected people.
A bird's 'nest' inspired Amphibious Pavilion is the pilot project of NestAbide, interdisciplinary water and flood consultancy firm. An amphibious structure is one that can survive on both land and water. It sits on the ground during normal dry conditions and will float only when the floodwater rises.
'Amphi Nest' is India's first working prototype of amphibious building technology with a concrete buoyant foundation. Any home can be made flood resilient using this building technology.
